As I read different news sources about what is going on in the world, it is difficult to see what is happening to our Christian brothers and sisters in the Middle East.  From the bombing in the Nairobi mall, to churches being torched and worshippers being killed because they are Christian, the persecution of Christians is becoming more pervasive. 
I read an article today from The Daily Beast, where the churches are remaining silent for the slaughter of our brothers and sisters. What can we do for them? How can we help them? Sending money to them may be one way we can do something. But, what will that do if it is being intercepted by terrorist groups, and what will it do for those being martyred. We could send food and clothing to them, but how does that stop the war against them?
The first thing we can do and we must do is pray for them. Pray that God will intervene and stop the evil reigning on Christians around the world being martyred for their faith. That is a good first step. In some way, we need to do our part to bring the attention to the tragedy is happening. We need to fight evil that is plaguing this world.
The good news of those already killed because of their faith is that they are with our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. They do not have to suffer anymore. But for those who are still in harms way, let’s do something.
